I have been using this as a reference book for several years. This year I'm using it as a daily devotional. So I bought this copy as a Christmas present for a friend. It is an excellent book to make you stop and reevaluate your relationship with Jesus.

Book quality fair to poor. Pages brown, spine broken. Worst quality of any used book purchased online-ever. second bok was in Very Good Almost unused quality. The writer of this book is legendary. I'm a huge fan.

This book gets you closer to God and helps you understand what a relationship with God truly is. Chambers was a man of God in a deep and profound way. Charles Stanley said that this book was one that had the greatest impact on his life after the Bible. Chambers makes you want the deep relationship he has with God, He inspires and motivates you to be a different person. When I first read this book years ago, I marked passages and had ? there. I didn't "get" those things, but I knew I wanted to. Over the years, I have read and reread this book and the ? go away and I am blessed.

Someone at church gave me this book when I was a new Christian and senior in high school. I couldn't remember anything specific from it except that it was challenging to my thoughts and did what it promised by making me want to seek and know God more. I don't think the author would mind that all I remembered of his work was a desire for more of Jesus.
